CanPath is pleased to announce the release of its Baseline Spirometry Harmonized Dataset, now available to researchers across Canada and internationally.

Spirometry is one of the most commonly used tests of pulmonary function, measuring the volume and speed of air inhaled and exhaled. These measurements provide valuable insights into lung health and respiratory function.

Drawing on baseline data from 31,513 participants across three CanPath cohorts, the harmonized dataset contains 50 core variables related to lung function. Researchers can now access information including calculated best results, single best-effort results and expected values, supporting research into respiratory health and disease across diverse populations.

As part of CanPath’s growing collection of harmonized datasets, this new resource supports research into lung health, respiratory disease and related population health questions.
