Emilia graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University last spring with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science, and is currently in her first year of completing a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology. She is interested in capturing Canadians’ social, economic, and health data to improve health outcomes, by applying an interdisciplinary approach in health research. She hopes to further develop skills related to the research process, while working on a project which aligns with her passion for health equity, social determinants of health, mental health, and non-communicable diseases.
