A haplotype-based normalization technique for the analysis and detection of allele specific expression
L’équipe de recherche a examiné l’expression spécifique de l’allèle (ESA), qui peut être un identifiant de la source de la maladie. Elle a été en mesure de séquencer les exomes de la cohorte CARTaGENE, trouvant un lien significatif entre la proportion de sites montrant une ESA dans le génome et le tabagisme.
Allele-specific expression reveals interactions between genetic variation and environment
En combinant l’ARN-seq du sang entier à des annotations environnementales détaillées provenant de 922 personnes, les auteurs ont identifié 35 interactions GxE, contre seulement quatre au moyen de tests d’interaction GxE standard. EAGLE offre aux chercheurs de nouvelles possibilités d’identifier les interactions GxE à l’aide de données génomiques fonctionnelles.
