Predictors of CRC Stage at Diagnosis among Male and Female Adults Participating in a Prospective Cohort Study: Findings from Alberta's Tomorrow Project
Cette étude visait à découvrir les facteurs associés au cancer colorectal (CCR) au moment du diagnostic chez 267 participants au Projet Alberta Tomorrow. Les chercheurs ont observé que le soutien social, le fait d’avoir des enfants et la consommation de caféine étaient des facteurs prédictifs importants du stade du CCR au moment du diagnostic chez les hommes. En revanche, les antécédents familiaux de cancer colorectal, la grossesse, l’hystérectomie, l’hormonothérapie ménopausique, le nombre de tests Pap effectués au cours de la vie et l’activité physique au sein du ménage étaient des facteurs prédictifs importants du CCR au moment du diagnostic chez les femmes.
